I have yahoo protection program, however i installed norton antivirus. now the pc turns off after 30

Hit f8 continually in startup. If you get an option to restore system to previous time accept it. starting up in safe mode should work.

you shouldn't have two anti virus in your computer at the same time- you might need a system restore if you don't even have the time to unistall it since it reboots by itself

I use ad-aware and spybot search %26 destroy for anti-spyware software and then Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 12 for anti-virus %26 firewall and so far i've had my laptop for 4 months and it's been running great. You can download spybot at www.download.com before using Trend Micro PC-Cillin i was using Norton Anti-Virus and that worked great too... i bought that at www.ebay.com with a trusted seller with great reviews.
"softwares for 100% protection please help" lol lmao

no such thing. sbybot search and destroy, highjackthis, spywareblaster to name a few.
Nod 32 is very good. protection.

I would install the following five programs and run weekly or at least monthly:

Ad-Aware SE Personal (update + full scan)

I put Norton Antivirus on my desktop computer, it was offered by AT&T online protection free.?

Now I want to put it on my laptop but when I click "I Accept" on the Terms of Agreement page, it won't move past that page.

What do I do? Can I put online protection on two computers?

You really need to check with AT%26T, to see what their EULA reads. Usually you are only allowed to put a software program on one PC, unless states otherwise.

Because you have the same IP address for both computers, the IP provider and many of the software companies still know your system hardware and have the technology to know if you are trying to install on a second PC.

Example, my antivirus, Twister Trojan Antivirus, when they sent me my key, I put on my laptop. When I attempted to put the same key on my desktop, that has the same IP address the key would not work and they were nice enough to send me a second key at no cost for the desktop.

you can put it on multiple computers, i tried putting it on a customers computer and on the AT%26T online website it said that it would not be offering the free download again until January 15, 2008 at midnight, i suppose it is some kind of licensing thing. a good free antivirus software that you could put on it until then is called Avast Anti-virus, it seems to work well. heres the website for the download
i don't think so/it's registered to one/if you were in business would you
yes but you may have to pay for it. I run Norton's 2007 on both my pc's and had to buy a subscription for both at a reduced rate but still. Third party client will sell this to you but not necessarily with Norton's permission or symantec, you may get it cheaper. Did you tell AT%26T you had 2 pc's?

What's the best computer protection progam? Stuff like Spyware, Norton Antivirus, etc?

for me a combination of things works best ... somthing like comodo firewall, avg antispyware, and common sense .. antivirus is way overrated and is false security imo ... i dont even use them anymore because they are invasive on the system and hog resources ... and the best protection is a good backup plan like acronis true image that can build on a complete system backup daily on an external drive ...

What's the best computer protection progam? Stuff like Spyware, Norton Antivirus, etc?auto protect

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following linkhttp://www.computeractive.co.uk/. On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps

Is using Symantec AntiVirus Client, Spybot, and Zone alarm enough protection against viruses if usin

Also, is it possible to use limewire and iTunes music store? Also, does iTunes make a limewire playlist for items I download off of limwire? I have a Windows XP and I want to use limwire and iTunes music store.

Is using Symantec AntiVirus Client, Spybot, and Zone alarm enough protection against viruses if using limwire?avast

A new virus cannot be dectected unless anti virus companies can find about it. And by the time they are detected the virus has already destroyed millions of computers. itunes is virus free. Limewire has tones of viruses and trojans in it. You can add buy a hardware to block hackers. I use limewire. If you have a old pc use it for limewire.

Goodluck

new viruses come out everyday, people have too much time on their hands! But i reccomend that you right click all the files you downloaded, and doing a virus check with norton antivirus, yes, i know what your thinking, another program to download, but its pcworlds number one antivirus program. Pcworld is probably the best recourse for protecting and upgrading your computer, i use it alot. I hope this helps and if you need more info you can always email me.

Go with the Computer Associates.I have that and I think it is a very good program.
hi, i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

Best Wishes %26%26 Good Luck!
taken the price into account SBC is better.

Notting better than free and it runs with less load on your computer and it does the job
Symantec/Norton is a memory hog and really slows down a computer. The EZAntivirus and PestPatrol by Computer Associates that is provided by Yahoo is the same basic product used by many Fortune 500 companies. I used to buy CA protection before I was able to switch ISPs and get it for free. In my opinion it's as good as anything else out there.

One final thought..... I doubt that Yahoo would take a chance and provide a crappy product and risk all kinds of negative publicity if people began getting infected with viruses or spyware. It would NOT do their public image much good.

We have norton antivirus and it keeps saying anti-virus protection is switched off and it wont turn

Everytime i try to turn it on it comes up with this liveupdate box, i install the updates and it still doesnt turn on, and when i try to turn it on once again it says comes up with a box saying live update is still running but its not... i hope that made sense=S please help!

We have norton antivirus and it keeps saying anti-virus protection is switched off and it wont turn bac on?bmw

My Norton was doing exactly the same...so I got rid of it, installed AVG (it's free) which promptly found 16 viruses and trojans.

Get rid of it. You've got to know that your anti virus is working properly.

Norton is worthless and it's slowing your system down,i had it once than i uninstalled it and got a better antivirus for nothing.

Good Luck
when the live update box disapears it dosnt mean that the updateing process has finnished.

sometimes it dosnt come up because norton is doing a automatic live update, and the updater is running in the background without you knowing.

i dont like using norton as it slows computers down. you could try some free alternatives when your subscription finishes. like
