Everytime I turn on my computer, a balloon pops up saying "Your computer is at risk, 43 critical erors found. Click on this balloon to fix these errors." The program that makes this come up is 'XP Antivirus Protection version 2.4'.
Everytime i get on my computer, it keeps adding more to the total number of "critical errors" found. Its really annoying and when i scanned my computer, nothing showed up. It wants me to register but I just want it to GO AWAY.
HOW can I make this annoying, unknown program go away for good and leave my computer alone!!!?? Please, help.

It is a fake. It is malware itself. It is trying to scam you:
"XP Antivirus 2008 is a rogue antivirus utility that uses false positives to lure the user into buying the product."

Your computer is badly infected.
The removal tool called RogueRemover Free specialises in this sort of malware

Use the free version. There is absolutely no reason to use the paid, "Pro" version when you want to remove only.
Good luck.
