i was surfing the web for sheet music, and i came upon this website. As I clicked on it, it said they were downloading spyware on my computer! the site said i had to go to another link to remove the spyware they gave me. it showed a download bar on the website, i shut off my computer quickly. Was that a virus/spyware or were they bluffing me into thinking i had it so i would go to their link and dl their crap?
I have symantic antivirus protection, does that help?
Help? spyware?husqvarna
most likely they hadn't downloaded anything on your computer, it was just a scam to make you to scared and buy something from the second website. if you want to be sure you are not infected, run anti spyware. antivirus wont help you as they only search for viruses. you can download anti spyware at http://www.2-spyware.com/review-spyware-...
Help? spyware?microsoft office
you did the right thing. i think it was one of those sites that trick you into going to their site and clicking a link so they could put spyware or virus on your computer. never click a link of any kind unless you know the link is 100% safe. email me if you would like safety tips using the internet.
Unless you have Symantec (Norton) Internet Security or 360, then No, Symantec Anti-Virus will only protect against Viruses, Not Spyware.
