Free Anti-Virus Programs
AVG has a good personal use Anti-Virus product available at: http://free.grisoft.com
Avast Antivirus, also for non-commercial use is available at: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht...
Avira AntiVir Personal Edition is also available for download at http://www.free-av.com , I have not used this a lot and would welcome other comments on it.
The above products include active background scanning modules!
Bitdefender has an excellent scanner and removal tool but does not have any active background protection in the free version that is available at: http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Main/vie...
Norton antivirus says that i must activate before sept 2 or i will be without virus protection..any ideas?pop up blocker

Norton antivirus says that i must activate before sept 2 or i will be without virus protection..any ideas?systemworks
I guess it would be safe to say...activate it.
Yeah, activate it
don't use Norton........it's too heavy for your computer........you should download: AVG free (and you never have to activate it again). Or use sophos anti-virus (version).......which you can get for free at www.usask.ca (u have to sign up on that site and then you can do it. well bye
Hate, Norton Antivirus, McAfee is the best
Norton probably came with your computer or..... when you got it and now they want you to pay for it as the trial period is up. You've been given some good choices, make a decision but don't be with out any protection and remember you cannot run two anti virus scans at the same time, you must delete one of them as they conflict with each other. Peace!
Sure. Activate it!
Activate it and pay for it.
AVG antivirus is free, so consider using that instead of paying for Norton.
When you purchase an anti-virus nowadays, they wont protect your pc permanently. They usually give licenses which are valid for a year or so, depending on the license that you bought.
