Antispyware/Antivirus overkill?

How many programs is overkill for spyware/virus protection? I'm currently running Avast!, Ad-Aware 2007, Spybot S%26D, and I'm thinking about getting SUPERAntiSpyware and AVG. Is this overkill?

It may not be completely necessary but it doesn't hurt anything. Having more than 1 anti-virus can cause serious conflicts, but you can have as many anti-spyware applications as you like as long as you don't have multiple anti-spyware applications running in "real time".

i dont get ur qestion but i use webroot
Too much of anything is not a good thing (smile) You can have up to 2 spyware programs loaded on your computer, but only 1antivirus program installing, more than 1 antivirus program they would be conflict with each other and want work right. M openion, I would pick and install (http://www.superantispyware.com) as myspyware program, this is one of the best FREE spyware programs that out today and I highly recomend it and so do others here. As for as the Antivirus program , for the Free version I recomend AVG (http://free.grisoft.com) this is a good program also. REMEMBER that only install and run 1 Antivirus program and up to and no more than 2 Spyware programs. Good Luck in your choosing.
If your computer has been accessing the Internet unprotected it is infected.
