Antivirus help?

If i use AVG or similar free virus protection, do i have to use it for a specific amount of time? or can i change at anytime?

I don't know why you'd even be thinking about getting rid of it. I've had it 4 years with no problems. I got Norton with my last computer purchase and it missed viruses that AVG picked up. I love it, a daily update and scan when YOU want it to. You can uninstall it by going to your Control Panel and then to Add/Delete Programs.

Well you can use it for as long as you want and whenever you get tired of it, you can uninstall it. There is no limit or contract. Its the best free anti virus software out there.

No. For AVG, as long as you are private user, you can use it without any time limit. Just like Zonealarm for firewall and Spy-box for anti-spyware.
