Spyware/ Antivirus?

I have had Norton and Lavasoft Adaware and Spyware doctor running quite well on my PC. I updated spyware doctor today, and Adaware yesterday, and Norton does not load now during boot up. This makes me nervous, as it finds things the others do not. Having said that, they appear to find things that Norton does not. The whole protection situation is confusing. Surely one programme should do the job. I would happily pay for a TOTAL solution to this problem, but cannot find one. Any answers from out there?

avg the best get rid of norton my sister-in-law had it on her computer now the computer is in pc world getting fixed cost her 拢50.00 could take up to 28 days before she gets it back

You could try Avast- it's free...I found it in an article by a national computer magazine- the entire article (not an advertisement) was about the product. It works.... at least for me.
Try Online scanner GarbageClean http://www.GarbageClean.com it does pretty good cleaning.
Try McAfee, far better than Norton
Get rid of Norton, it's rubbish. You have to pay for Norton and it takes up load of space on your hard drive and slows your system down. When I first got my new laptop it came with a 60 day free trial of Norton included but the first thing I did was to uninstall it.
