My zonealarm contains a antivirus engine, but I don't want to use Zone Alarm for my antivirus because Zone Alarm is meant for firewall protection, not virus protection. If I turn the antivirus feature of, will their be any conflicts with AVG antivirus?
Can I use Zone Alarm internet security with AVG 7.5 Antivirus?bmw
I would uninstall your AVG anti-virus and NOT disable the ZoneAlarm virus protection. AVG has never been very good at detecting viruses.
Mostly noobs, the naive, children, and the computer illiterate use AVG A-V.. These types love AVG because they say it is easy to use and almost never bothers them with any pop-ups or warnings. Of course AVG never bothers them, it hardly ever finds any virus to warn them about!
The latest version of Zone Alarm Internet Security uses the Kaspersky engine to detect viruses and has the exact same high virus detection rates as the very highly rated Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
According to the latest May 2007 test from www.virus.gr.
Percentages are the percent of the test malware detected.
1. Kaspersky version 7.0.0.43 beta - 99.23%
2. Kaspersky version 6.0.2.614 - 99.13%
3. Active Virus Shield by AOL version 6.0.0.308 - 99.13%
4. ZoneAlarm with KAV Antivirus version 7.0.337.000 - 99.13%
5. F-Secure 2007 version 7.01.128 - 98.56%
6. BitDefender Professional version 10 - 97.70%
