Norton antivirus problem - help please?

I installed norton antivirus 2003 edition in my system and updated it thru internet. but after updating, now the norton antivirus is not loading when windows starts and also the automatic protection is not getting on , even though i click it enable,it stays the same and the same problem with email scanner too. even though i tried several ways, the problem still persists, pls can anyone be specific and help me out

we are supposed to have free Norton through our cable company and it won't load at all. I gave up and went with AVG. It's free and it works.
No. 1 Norton anti virus 2003 is a very old program with no tech support from Symantec!

#3. did you clean up your PC before installing the program?

#4. did you remove any older Norton programs before you installed this one?

Go to Norton site and look for instructions how to uninstall/reinstall the program. Yet, I would suggest that you look into e newer program like Norton 360.
