Is avg antivirus any good?

I am using avg antivirus and was wondering if i needed to put more protection on my computer.Answer as soon as possible.thanks.

Yes, I use it for 60 computers in my office. It works very well, detecting every viruses that usually come from USB or emails.

Norton Anti Virus is the best to keep viruses off your computer.
i use avira anti-vir personal edition it has 95 percent detection rates compared to 80 percent of avg and it is free

I just downloaded it for the 3rd time for my old laptop...I deleted it lol..because of the frequent updating..
Grisoft's AVG is one of the best anti-virus solutions on the market. If you update your anti-virus software and scan regularly you will be fine.
avg is excellent

I like avast any better, there was version of avg that came out that I didnt like, so I switched to avast.

it would be good to have a router or software firewall too, If avg doesnt have one
it's depend on how the computer user's behaviour in term of exposing the computer (system) to the external data or communicate via web.
