Norton Antivirus Activation?

I have Norton Antivirus and I activated it and I know that it is now expired, but just today it said I need to activate it. But when I push the fix now, it says that it cannot connect to the internet, but I am connected. Now all my virus protection is off. How can I fix this?

If you want to protect your system from viruses, and keep your system running smoothly, I highly recommend you don't use Norton's. Norton's is not rated high in detection / removal of viruses

by those who test these programs (av-comparitives., virus.gr, etc)

and Norton's is notorious for slowing your computer to a crawl.
