I have BTBroadband which is very slow. Could the reason be that my Norton A/v is a duplication prote

The BT Broadband (I think) comes with some protection against virus and prevents rubbish emails and phishing.

I have subscribed also to Norton Antivirus. Does this duplicate some of BT's protections and create confusion?

You should only use one antivirus and one firewall at a time. So if you have 2 installed, you will need to remove one of them.

It could be a virus of somekind, but it could also be BT... I recently had to leave BT Broadband because of their appauling traffic managment. It became extremely slow, especially during peak times.

If you think it could be BT, or something wrong with your connection, then try posting in the BT Broadband section of ADSLGuide, they should be able to help.

It can cause conflict and you may have two fire walls running, if so turn one of them off...
