Unfortunately not, the internet will be coming directly into the router and then shared across the computers, so if your computer has antivirus then you will be protected where as the 2nd computer wont be. I would make sure that the second computer has some antivirus, try on google for AVG, its a good free antivirus and then put a firewall on both pcs, try using Zonealarm the free version is great. Make sure NAT is turned on, on the router and if ur router has a firewall then that is turned on as well but most ones these days already have a firewall built in. That should hopefully help protect you. Havea great day and take care

thats quite alright mate, take care Report It

Install AV in your other comp immd. OR else your first comp would also be infected soon inspite of having AV.
nope the 2nd computer is not protected.
NO, YOU NEED ANTIVIRUS FOR BOTH
Good try anyway! Each computer will need it's OWN security applications installed! All available free anyways. Either from the Internet or your ISP. It's not a problem!
Nope, your second computer is a sitting duck. Install Norton or McAfee on it.
The router will likely have a certain amount of built-in firewall protections; check your manual to be sure. This will protect from *some* issues, so it's better than nothing, but it's not foolproof.

The antivirus program you've got one the one machine will not protect the other... unless you can install it on that machine as well. Check your licensing; you may be able to install it on multiple systems. One way or the other, the second machine should have some sort of protection on it.
dont worry check with ur router vendor, normally all the wireless routers like hawking will have a inbuilt firewall, that protects all ur computer in the network.

so no need to install individually
