I have comcast internet service and the person who set it up didnt download mcafee so computer had/has no antivirus protection. Whenever I try to go to mcafee it says page not available and some registry defender keeps popping up I tried to get help mfrom their site and had no luck. It was never downloaded but i still think it has something to do with not being able to get to the other site. I guess what Im asking is if any ideas of what i could try so i get rid of reg. def. and could download mcafee

At least this is what their website says. It sounds like you have either adware or some other malware that is keeping you from accessing McAfee. This is a fairly common tactic. People get tired of fighting the pop-ups and they just download the offending product.
